The output of all
radiation sensors tends
to decrease over time as the
detector
ages. Our measurements indicate that
quantum
sensors under continuous outdoor
use should be recalibrated
every 2 years. Sensors exposed to less than constant
solar
radiation, such as a meter stored
indoors, can be
recalibrated every 3 years. Apogee also offers
recalibration of LI-COR Quantum Sensors.
Do not attempt recalibration without a
radiation standard.
